PUBLIC NOTICE

Plan Modification

 The Northwest Region Workforce Investment Board, comprised of the 18 contiguous counties of Northwest Missouri, will have available for public review and comment a modification to its 5-Year Plan.  This Plan, which addresses services and funding levels under the Workforce Investment Act (P.L. 105-220), will be available for review after May 18, 2010.

 This modification provides Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Funding in the amount of $1,481,879.00 for the program year beginning July 1, 20010, changes to the Business Plan (formerly known as the Memorandum of Understanding) and transfers $45,120 in PY09 Youth funds from Administration to Training.

To review the modification you must contact the Workforce Investment Board, North Central Missouri College at 912 Main Street, Trenton, Missouri 64683 or by phone: 660-359-3622, X-13 or e-mail jwhitney@mail.ncmissouri.edu.  Any comments concerning the plan modification or to petition for disapproval or change of the modification, please contact either the WIB or the Division of Workforce Development’s Planning and Research Section at P O Box 1087, Jefferson City, MO 65102-1087.  Petitions for disapproval or change must be received no later than June 18, 2010.

 

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Northwest Region Workforce Investment Board, comprised of the 18 contiguous counties of Northwest             Missouri, is seeking proposals to subcontract with any group, agency, institution, public or private to provide          Career Center staffing, Functional Leadership and Accounts Payable functions to eligible individuals under the      Workforce Investment Act of 1998, (P.L. 105-220).

This Request for Proposals will consist of approximately $735,000 in WIA Title I Adult and Dislocated Worker funds for a time period beginning July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011.
